Our June event broke the mold. Rather than organize our own panel, we livestreamed and blogged and tweeted a Seattle Science Festival event, then hosted an afterparty!

Video is archived now at http://new.livestream.com/scioWC/soSEA3 and we will report back with more from this epic event.

Conversations About Our Changing Planet: Observations, Models and Implications. Three TED-style talks started us off, on “the dynamic Earth system and climate, focusing on observations, modeling, policies and linkages to energy and regional impacts in the Pacific Northwest.” The event and conversation following were moderated by Dean Lisa Graumlich of the University of Washington College of the Environment.

ScienceOnlineSeattle hosted an afterparty featuring the speakers, organizers, and many of you, a potent mix of passionate geekery. Everyone there and joining us online made the evening memorable, from the astronaut to the hackers from Amazon, thank you!

Afterparty in the Governor’s Room at Hotel Deca, Seattle
